work and purpose
What is the nature of your relationship with your work? Does it nourish or deplete you? Do you feel recognised and valued through the work that you do? Is your work a job, a career, a vocation, a calling, or simply a means to an end? Why is it that you do what you do?

"Work is love made visible"
Kahlil Gibran

At its best work is an expression of purpose; a contribution of our time, our talents and our care towards something that feels meaningful. The more closely our work reflects our core values, our character and our capacities, the more it fulfilling it feels, the less stress it generates and the greater our potential contribution to the clients, company, community or country that we serve.

Work may mean different things to different people, but it’s something that most of us will do throughout the bulk of our adult lives; often for many hours each week. Creating and maintaining a healthy relationship with work is fundamental to sustaining our overall mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health and wellbeing.

The potential for your work to be “love made visible” is real, and it can be revealed and inspired by some honest conversations about what holds most meaning for you, and how what you do may better, or more fully, reflect who you are, and maybe even why you’re here. If you are feeling uncertain, unclear, unbalanced or even unhinged with respect to your job, your career, your calling, or your creativity, reaching out for help is a brilliant move. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
